The lack of knowledge about Islam’s core beliefs and teachings is not confined to rural areas; it is also a significant concern in the city of Hyderabad. This ignorance has led some individuals to be misled by groups like Qadianism (the Ahmadiyya community), while others are joining organizations such as Shakeel bin Haneef, Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen, Deendar Anjuman, or similar groups without fully knowing their beliefs. Additionally, some are falling victim to false prophets like Ahmed Isa or the Gohar Shahi movement.
Through the Ghar Ghar Iman Bachao (Door to Door Save Faith) campaign, it becomes clear how much religious ignorance exists among the Hyderabad city’s Muslim population. During interactions, when Volunteers from Majlis-e-Tahaffuz Khatme Nubuwwat ask people to name the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), many are unable to provide the right answer.
The Majlis-e-Tahaffuz Khatme Nubuwwat Trust carries out the Ghar Ghar Iman Bachao campaign on the first Sunday of each month, and on additional occasions when required, to educate the Muslim community in the city on the value of faith and religion and to alert them about misleading ideologies.
