Qurbani Arrangements

In rural villages, many Muslims are unaware of the importance of Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha, causing them to celebrate festivals from other religious groups in the area, such as Christian missionaries, Hindu neighbors, or the Ahmadiyya community. Recognizing this, the MTKN trust has begun organizing distribution of Qurbani meat during Eid Al Adha. These efforts aim to educate the community about their own Islamic festivals and inspire them to celebrate them properly.

The trust has dedicated its efforts to not only educating the local community on the religious significance of Hajj and Umrah but also ensuring that the tradition of Qurbani is understood and practiced with compassion. For many families, performing Qurbani is a deeply spiritual and significant act during the auspicious days of Eid. In an effort to extend the blessings of Qurbani to those less fortunate, the trust has established a practice where wealthier Muslim families, who possess more than 2-3 Qurbani animals, are encouraged to donate one of their animals. These donations will then be used by the trust to perform the Qurbani on their behalf, with the resulting meat being distributed to poor families in rural areas, ensuring that they too can share in the blessings of Eid.

For Eid Al Adha 2024, the MTKN trust has distributed the Qurbani meat to 10215 Muslim households across 233 villages.
